Puddled Duck Cottage dates from the Tudor period and benefits from over 500 years of character and heritage.

Located in the pretty village of Tattenhall, with its delightful pubs and local shops, Puddled Duck Cottage makes the perfect base to explore the local area.

Besides an abundance of country walks and cycle trails, the historic city of Chester and many leading attractions such as Chester Zoo and the Ice Cream Factory are all close by.

Puddled Duck Cottage has recently undergone a full 18 month long restoration. This not only saw work done to its timber frame and its original thatched roof reinstated, but also, some sympathetic upgrades, under the watchful eyes of English Heritage.

The cottage now benefits from a new central heating system, making the home comfy and cozy all year round, as well a refitted kitchen, bathroom, shower room, breakfast room and a wonderful outdoor - terrace to the master bedroom…..perfect for that romantic glass of fizz!

Floor Plans and Inventory

Puddled Duck Cottage comprises of two floors. The first floor is reached by two sets of stairs - one set leading from the lounge and a second set (to the other bedroom and outdoor balcony) from the entrance hallway.

Inventory:

  • Kitchen with electric AGA, refrigerator, cooking utensils, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and glasses - also, an integrated dishwasher and washing machine (either side of the sink).

  • Bedrooms with bed linen, pillows wardrobes and drawers.

  • Bathrooms with towels and toilet tissue.

  • Lounge with sofa, arm-chair, table and multi channel TV - also, logs and firelighters for wood-burner.

  • Breakfast room with table and chairs.

  • ‘Hive’ thermostatically controlled central heating and hot-water.
