Can We Bring Our Dog?

At Puddled Duck Holidays we never forget that most valued member of the family…your pooch!

All well behaved, house-trained dogs are welcome.

Please let us know that you are intending to bring you dog(s) and how many and we will leave a welcome pack at the front door with blankets, bowls and treats 🐾

Please use dog gates installed to keep dogs downstairs and if you wish the breakfast room can be set up with dog beds as this has a little wooden gate too !

The garden is fully fenced and secure but all dogs escape in different ways and you know your dog better than we do so please do check it thoroughly to ensure you are happy its secure for your dog (s) !

(We have 2 Labradors and a beagle who potter around safely !)

What if I Have to Cancel my Booking?

As with any holiday, we would always advise you to take out travel insurance to cover yourself for any unforeseen circumstances requiring you to cancel your holiday.

Puddled Duck Holidays – holiday deposits are non-refundable (albeit within the 14 days ‘cooling off period.’)

After this period, generally speaking, no refunds can be made, for any monies paid unless there are extenuating circumstances at play such as jury service, illness / injury or bereavement (see our T's and C's for further clarification.).

Furthermore, Puddled Duck Holidays cannot accept liability for delays / cancellations caused by a variety of other circumstances to include bad weather, industrial disputes and other events outside of our control.

Please understand that you are paying for the exclusive use of our holiday home for a specified period – whether you are there or not.

However, Puddled Duck Holidays is an independent- family run business and as such, this does allow us a greater degree of flexibility and understanding – particularly if enough time is given. Therefore, should you have an issue we advise that you talk to us about it at your earliest possible opportunity; it might be that we are able to re-arrange an alternative date.

Are the Holiday Homes Child / Age Friendly?

As with any home, the safety and wellbeing of you children and any elderly family or friends is your responsibility and naturally subject to ‘common sense!’

A feature of many of Puddled Duck Holiday Homes is their wonderful, characterful features. Things like high steps, low doorways, steep stairs and more restricted access are all somewhat quirky features that all add to the fun, enjoyment and memory of your holiday. However, unless appropriate care is taken and common sense applied, these same features could potentially present a danger.

Therefore, we would never advise leaving young children, elderly or those less able bodied alone. We recommend that doors and gates, restricting access to steep stairs or externally – to busy roads, are kept closed.

If applicable to the property, things like stair gates and travel cots can be provided as long as enough notice is given.

We do provide floor plans as well as accurate property descriptions to try and ensure that you find the right property for you and your family; these can be seen on the website.

Can I Pre-order Groceries?

Being an independent, family run business, Puddled Duck Holidays can go that extra mile!

We understand that many of you will have travelled long distances to get to one of our holiday homes and the last thing you want to do, upon your arrival, is to go shopping for food and drink!

If we know, well in advance, we can do a bit of shopping for you so that your more immediate requirements are catered for. Just let us know!
