Booking Information
Please read the booking conditions carefully. You must agree to these before completing the booking form.
The Booking Contract, Payments & Conditions
1. The contract of hire is between the hirer (guest) and Puddled Duck Holidays Ltd.
2. The contract of hire is deemed to have been made once a deposit of 30% holiday price has been paid and confirmation of booking has been despatched by Puddled Duck Holidays Ltd to the guest. Please note: Prices quoted are in UK - Pounds Sterling and include, where applicable, VAT.)
3. The balance payment is due, as cleared funds, 6 weeks before the holiday commences. If the balance is not received by the date due on the booking confirmation, Puddled Duck Holidays reserves the right to make the property available for re-booking.
It is possible to secure bookings by telephone using a Credit, Debit Card or Internet Bank transfer. (Details can be supplied).
4. A) Properties are available for occupation from 4pm on the first day of the holiday and must be vacated by 11am on the last day.
B) The licence from the owners shall permit the guest and members of the guest’s party as shown on the booking confirmation (but no one else) to occupy the property for holiday purposes only.
C) No more than the maximum number of persons stated in the brochure or website property description may occupy a property unless by prior written agreement with Puddled Duck Holidays Ltd. Extra charges may be applicable. Owners reserve the right to refuse admittance if this condition is not observed.
D) Gatherings, large or small, for parties or other life events such as weddings or stag/hen-dos, are not permitted unless otherwise agreed with Puddled Duck Holidays Ltd.
E) Puddled Duck Holidays Ltd reserve the right to revoke or refuse prior to, or during the stay, any booking from parties which they consider to be unsuitable for the property.
F) Due respect and consideration to neighbours must be observed at all times.
G) Large group bookings may only be accepted by special arrangement.
H) You must be 18 years old at the time of booking and have the legal capacity and authority to book the holiday as the lead name.
I) The guest may only bring such pets as are mentioned on the booking confirmation. Assistance dogs, which will not be charged, must also be listed on the booking confirmation.
J) Our properties are nonsmoking/vaping and no candles to be used within.
k) Bed linen, towels and, tea towels are provided.
5. A) The guest must keep the property clean and in good order and will be responsible for any damages or breakages. During the period of occupation the guest is responsible for the care of the property and its contents.
B) in cases where no security deposit has been taken, Puddled Duck Holidays Ltd reserves the right to seek financial recompense if the property is left in a less than satisfactory manner (for additional cleaning, clearing of dog mess, disposal of rubbish and careless damage).
6. A) The guest may only bring such pets as are mentioned on the booking confirmation.
B) Assistance dogs must be listed on the booking confirmation.
C) Pets must be house trained, clean, up to date with flea prevention treatment, well behaved, kept on a lead at all times and never be left unattended in the property, Puddled Duck Holidays Ltd does not accept responsibility for their safety.
E) “No Pets” in a description may not guarantee that pets have never occupied the property.
Booking Transfers
7. Once a booking has been confirmed by Puddled Duck Holidays Ltd, it can only be changed to either another property or different dates by treating the original booking as a cancellation. A £50 re-booking charge will be payable.
Personal Liability
8. A) Puddled Duck Holidays Ltd will not be held liable for the guest, or any member of the guest’s party, for any injury, loss or damage to their property or person, however caused.
B) Guests should ensure that all personal possessions are removed on departure from the property.
Guest Cancellation
9. A booking deposit, which is 30% of the total holiday cost, can be returned if within the 14 day ‘cooling off’ cancellation period. However, after this period, if a booking is cancelled before the start date of the booking no refund - for any monies paid - will be issued unless the reason for cancellation meets one of the following criteria (please note that appropriate supporting documentation must be provided);
A – A named member of the party is unable to attend as a result of being summoned for jury service during the holiday.
B - A named member of the party (excluding pets) is unable to attend as a result of illness or injury which means they are unable to travel. Supporting documentation completed by a medical professional will need to be provided. No refund will be issued if the illness predates when the booking was made or if it is part of a World Health Organisation notified pandemic. No refund will be issued if an injury suffered was as the result of a leisure activity.
C - A named member of the party suffers a family bereavement up to 1 calendar month before the start date (excluding pets but to include husband, wife, father, mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother, sister, grandparents and children).
Force Majeure
10. We cannot accept liability or responsibility for any alterations, delay or cancellation or any other loss or damage caused by war, civil strife, terrorist action, industrial disputes, fire, sickness, bad weather, livestock, epidemics, acts of any government, or public authority, changes imposed by re-scheduling of airlines, ferries or any event outside our control.
Complaints Procedure
11. A) In the unlikely event of a complaint the guest should immediately contact Puddled Duck Holidays Ltd to determine a satisfactory solution. Rest assured; Puddled Duck Holidays Ltd will always endeavour to resolve any issues/ dispute amicably.
B) No complaints can be considered after departure from the property.
C) In the event of any dispute between the parties it shall be referred to the jurisdiction of the English Courts only and any action shall be heard in the Court for the area in which the property is situated. Any contract shall be governed by English Law and interpretation.
